The Amazing Spider-Man Mobile Game Trailer

The Amazing Spider-Man Mobile Game Trailer

From amongst the flood of media that came from the greedy behemoth that E3 always is, a sneaky trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man the mobile version crept its way out, unnoticed by most. What’s interesting is that the trailer for the Dark Knight Rises mobile version made quite a splash, even featuring here on LUNA

The trailers bare a number of similarities (aside from the obvious factor, that they’re both superhero games on mobiles) – and it’s an interesting fact that both games are made by Gameloft, each featuring large open worlds with slick 3D graphics.

Both in fact seem like interesting attempts at shrinking down console-style experiences into mobile devices.

It’s hard to ignore a number of factors which suggest that perhaps a rivalry is budding between our favorite web slinger and caped crusader –  at least commercially.

Both of these superheroes have major motion pictures being released within a few weeks of each other, their showings at the box office will no doubt be compared and criticized.

Additionally, the soon to be released Amazing Spider-Man feature game looks like its taking more than a few cues from Arkham City by making the long awaited switch from linear mission-based level structures into an openly traversable world which places a focus on natural-feeling, fluid locomotion. You know, like being spider-man. That sounds pretty cool, let’s just hope they call pull it off right.
