It is a condition of using this website, or any LUNA platform, that all users behave in accordance with this policy.

1. Website Use
1.1 All users are legally responsible for any content they submit to this website, including but not limited to, comments, photographs or articles, extending to any form of copyright infringement, libel or illegal activity. LUNA Magazine reserves the right to moderate, edit and/or delete content which it finds:

• Objectionable;
• Irrelevant to the topic being discussed;
• Unnecessarily obscene;
• Illegal;
• Defamatory;
• Infringing on another’s intellectual property;
• Against LUNA’s mission objective;
• Harassing, intimidating, or acting otherwise inappropriately towards another user(s);
• Stalking or personally invading the privacy of other users;
• Personally attacking an individual or entity, racial group, gender, social circle, etc;
• Making inappropriate or unsubstantiated claims;
• Misleading as to one’s identity, credentials, or interests;
• To be an advertisement or business solicitation;
• In the case of written, photographic or videographic contributions, where content is nonsensical, poorly worded, factually incorrect or in any way considered incompatible with LUNA’s stringent editorial standards.

Contravention of these conditions can result in suspension or revocation of membership, or further action, including that of legal nature.

1.2 LUNA Magazine in no way guarantees the time period that an article, contribution, or alternative submission will remain on the website. LUNA Magazine reserves the right to archive or republish any content on its pages for its own purposes.

1.3 Once submitted, although due care will be given, LUNA Magazine does not guarantee the correct attribution of any articles, nor that articles will remain in the condition that they were submitted.

1.3 These terms of use are subject to change without notice, and it is recommended that users take the time to periodically check that they are acting in accordance with them.

2. Copyrighted Material

2.1 No user of this website is granted permission to copy, redistribute, or republish any content available on this site without written permission of an Arcadia Director.

2.2 LUNA Magazine does not operate on a commercial basis, and accepts no responsibility for copyrighted material found on the website. It is the author’s responsibility to ensure that they have permission to post or are acting within the law when posting another’s material. If no such attribution is present, LUNA Magazine will remove, edit or properly attribute the content upon being made aware of it.

2.3 By submitting content, all users agree that they are the legal owners of said content, and, at the time of publication, own the rights to the material or have permission to reproduce it. The user agrees that the submitted content may be used by LUNA Magazine in any way in future, including redistribution, promotion, republication, or criticism.

2.4 Upon submitting content for publication to the LUNA Magazine website, the author agrees that rights are given to LUNA Magazine to limitlessly redistribute, republish, or modify the content in accordance with our Terms of Use policy. Whilst reasonable attempts will be made, it is not guaranteed in every situation that the original author’s name will appear.

3. Users

4.1 LUNA Magazine reserves the right to ban, suspend, block or refuse users who have not or do not currently act in accordance with our Terms of Use. This includes, but is not limited to, behaviour in accordance with section 1.1, user’s chosen pen name, language use, etc.

4.2 LUNA Magazine recommends that no user divulge any personally identifiable information about themselves in this forum. Users are reminded that whilst they may feel they are only communicating this information to a handful of other users, anyone with internet access can view this published information.

4.3 Any user who is made to feel uncomfortable, victimised, or who witnesses any other user acting in contravention to our terms of use is encouraged to contact the LUNA Magazine team at doorbell@lunamagazine.com.au

4. Advertisers

4.1 Advertisements are subject to approval by a LUNA Magazine Director. If an advertisement is considered inappropriate, the advertiser will be contacted, their advertisement removed, and their payment refunded minus a dishonour fee.

4.2 All content in advertisements are the responsibility of the advertisers. LUNA Magazine will remove paid advertising content that its users or major sponsors find objectionable, but will not remove them for trivial issues.

4.3 Advertisers are required to ensure that their spelling and grammar is correct upon submission, and there is no obscene language or images contained in their banner. Failure to do this can result in a revocation of the advertisement and incur a dishonour fee at the discretion of a LUNA Director.

4.4 Advertisers will not be granted discretion over content published. LUNA Magazine believes strongly in a free press, and is not willing to entertain intolerant advertisers.

4.5 Advertisements posted that are complimentary can be removed at any time at LUNA’s discretion.

4.6 Advertisements posted for non-cash consideration can be removed at any time at LUNA’s discretion, unless a time period arises in a contractual obligation.

5. Competitions

5.1 Competition deadlines will be included in competition information pages. Wherein no deadline is included, LUNA will include any entries made within two weeks of the competition publish date.

5.2 LUNA will not honour representations made to individuals by an agent, whether assumed or actual, of LUNA or a sponsor, implying that they will win a particular contest. Such representations are against LUNA policy.

5.3 No guarantee is made that winners will be publicly announced, that the winning entry will be displayed publicly or that the process for choosing a winner will be made available to the public.

5.4 Competition entrants agree that in the case that they win,they will respond to a call from LUNA informing them of their win within a reasonable time period of one business week. If no response is received in this time period, the winner will forfeit their prize, and a new winner will be drawn. LUNA reserves the right to change this deadline without notice in special cases where a winner must be drawn by a particular deadline.

5.5 LUNA believes in an equal opportunity for all entrants, and will give equal consideration to all entries.

5.6 Competitions may be modified or withdrawn totally at the discretion of LUNA or a competition sponsor, and without notice to the entrants.

5.7 Unless expressly stated, competition prizes do not include flights, accommodation, transfers or anything apart from what has been outlined in the summary.

5.8 LUNA will not disclose your contact information, including name, phone number, email address or street address, to any third parties unless your permission has been granted. However, the entrant agrees that relevant information may be passed between involved parties, in the course of determining a winner. This information will not be used for any marketing purposes, or be traded for financial gain.

LUNA Magazine recognises that no Terms of Use will be absolutely complete, and therefore some users may be notified of inappropriate behaviour, or content modifed, at the discretion of the LUNA Magazine executive. We take internet safety seriously, and any user thought to be acting inappropriately will be dealt with accordingly.
