Nuffnang Fashionopolis 2012
If your Twitter feed has been all about Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week for the last month, you know what SS 12/13 means and you know Lady Melbourne is not some statue in Melbourne then you probably have a serious case of fashion lust. It’s better that you know now.
If you are at all interested in fashion writing, photography or blogging then no doubt you did not miss Nuffnang Fashionopolis 2012 last weekend.
The event held at Melbourne’s 1000 £ Bend and hosted by Nuffnang Australia was the first of its kind in Australia to promote networking and branding amongst fashion bloggers.
The event attracted some big name speakers like Phoebe Montague of fashion blog (not statue) Lady Melbourne, Project Runway Australia judge and notorious fashion buyer Sarah Gale, designer Jenny Bannister, stylist Phillip Boon and PR guru Kyra Pybus among others.
This is one fashion writer who has shed more than one tear at missing the day – which makes writing about its success that much harder. Sob stories aside, by all reports the day was a delicious feast of fashion and friendship.
If you’re a latecomer to the fashion blogger scene and want to know where to start and who to follow check out the great local talent we have in Sarah Willcocks of Style Melbourne, Tish Tambakau of Mister Mode, James Banham of Ravishing Retail, Leeyong Soo of Style Wilderness, Emily Collie of Melb Girl and Cammille Leon of Camille Leon who were all in attendance at #NNF2012.
