Music for the Traveller – New Music App for iPad

Music for the Traveller – New Music App for iPad

Since the beginning of the mobile phone and tablet applications, many music apps have surfaced, becoming popular with all ages. Some music apps allow you to make your own beats with a variety of pre-recorded sounds from various instruments, while others give you miniature interactive screen versions of a specific instrument which you can make your own sounds with through a touch screen.

A recent and exciting addition to the application market is the Yamaha Arp & Drum App for the iPad ( Arp standing for American Recording Productions). This nifty application mixes the well known touch keyboard with other pre recorded sounds letting you have more than one instrumental sound at once. Providing various patterns from a variety of instruments, the Yamaha Arp & Drum App lets the user play around with the arpeggiator to create their own sounds and music while on the move or in the safety of their own home.

While giving users a choice of 342 Arps from different instrument categories, the app also allows the real time for swing, beat stretch, variation and octave range to be modified creating a whole different sound.

The price tag on this application is what makes the Yamaha Arp & Drum App so appealing. With competitor apps priced at around US$40 to download, the small introductory sum of $3.99 is overwhelmingly cheap. When the application is fully released for a set amount at the start of August 2012, the price will still stay at a low $7.99. That’s more than a quarter of competitor prices!

If you ever want to try out a music app to dabble into some tunes and see what you can create, the Yamaha Arp & Drum App sounds like a great starting point. It is cheap and holds all the variety you would need.
