When Jay-Z was announced as the executive producer of the NBA 2K13 game, it wasn’t really expected that the hip hop mogul would reveal anything all too soon.

We’ve been proven wrong though- Hov has unveiled a 19-track playlist (which you can stream below) that features tracks included in the forthcoming game, with music from the likes of Kanye West, Phoenix, Nas, Santigold, Mobb Deep, Diddy, Dirty Projectors, Justice, U2, 2 Chainz and, of course, Jay-Z himself.

The actual soundtrack itself was made available online too, via the 2k13 Facebook page, which features many a song by Jay.

Jay-Z, who owns a share in the Brooklyn Nets, told 2K Sports, “This has been a unique opportunity to collaborate with 2K Sports and be a part of one of the best sports video games in history. NBA 2K13 will be the next evolution in sports and basketball culture, and I’m ready to usher in the new era of the franchise.”

Kevin Durant, Derrick Rose and Blake Griffin will feature on the cover of the game, set for release in the USA on October 2nd.
