Deadmau5 Disses David Guetta, Skrillex and Madonna

Joel Zimmerman, better known to the world as Deadmau5, will be featured on the front cover of the latest Rolling Stone, which hits newsstands all over the country this Friday.
The magazine has just released some quotes from the ever-entertaining Zimmerman, in which he targets the many “button-pusher” DJs in the business, namely David Guetta and Skrillex.
“David Guetta has two iPods and a mixer and he just plays tracks – like, ‘Here’s one with Akon, check it out!’” Zimmerman tells Rolling Stone.
“Even Skrillex isn’t doing anything too technical. He has a laptop and a MIDI recorder, and he’s just playing his shit. People are, thank God, smartening up about who does what – but there’s still button-pushers getting paid half a million. And not to say I’m not a button-pusher. I’m just pushing a lot more buttons.”
In the new issue, he reveals that he is still quite upset with Madonna, with scathing remarks about her use of the term “Molly”, slang for ecstasy, at the Ultra Music Festival in March.
“You want to be ‘hip’ and ‘cool’ and ‘funky grandma’? Fine. It’s not my place to say you’re irrelevant. If you’re gonna come into my world, at least do it with a little more dignity,” he said. “I understand she has millions more fans, and is way more successful than I’ll ever be. But it’s like talking about slavery at a f—ing blues concert. It’s inappropriate.”
This is not the first time Zimmerman has addressed Madonna’s “Molly” having tweeted, “You’re a role model to 100′s of millions. Electronic dance music could use your positive influence, not ‘molly’ talk.”
However, Madonna made light about the incident and stated that she wasn’t referring to the drug, but the song Have you Seen Molly by Cedric Gervais. “I don’t support drug use and I never have,” she stated. (We guess it’s also a coincidence that your latest record is titled MDNA… right Madonna?)
Deadmau5 has just released his new EP, The Veldt, and is currently on tour in the UK due to finish at the end of August.
