Cheryl Cole’s Price is too Much for Some Fans

Cheryl Cole’s Price is too Much for Some Fans

UK popstar Cheryl Cole has been slammed for charging £350 (around $545 AUD) for a backstage meet and greet on her upcoming tour of the UK and Ireland.

Cole, once a member of Girls Aloud,  is about to embark on her first solo tour of her home country. Tickets go on sale this week, but a £350 package was announced on the official ticket website, TicketWeb, which includes a ticket to the show, a backstage meet and greet and a photo and autograph from the star.

Fans have slammed the prices, with many taking to Twitter to express their dismay.

Hannah Warbuton (@hanwarburton) wrote: “And Cheryl Cole wants people to pay £349 for a meet + greet? What do you get, to bloody take her home??”

Lottie (@lottietweet) said: “Is a Cheryl Cole M+G really £349?! That’s obscene. You’re being seriously mugged off if you pay that!”

Steve (@teatotally) added: “Cheryl Cole M&G £349? I’d expect lobster, Champagne, caviar, music played by musicians and noshed off… by someone better looking!”

The platinum package, which has since been taken down from the site, also promised the best seats, an exclusive gift, program and commemorative laminate.

Cole, a former X-Factor judge in both the US and UK has also been criticised for her shaky performance at last week’s Diamond Jubilee Concert.

Would you pay over $500 to watch a performance like this?
