Adam Lambert's New Album and Tour with Queen
Pop-rocker Adam Lambert is back with less eyeliner and way more hair product with his second studio album Trespassing ahead of performing a string of European dates with rock Gods and legends Queen.
Lambert collaborated with a multitude of writers and producers to create an album that definitely explores a more nuanced sound for the usually moody pop singer.
The new sound is, “disco funk dance for, like, now” said Lambert, ever the poet.
The debut single off the album Better Than I Know Myself still retains that emotional rock ballad aspect that we’ve come to expect but with hints of a more hip hop inclined style.
The American Idol alumni said that he was glad to have more time to write Trespassing compared to the short two months he spent writing his first album For Your Entertainment.
It’s no surprise that Lambert will be joining Queen on four dates of The Queen Extravaganza tribute show.
The choice of Lambert is kind of fitting considering his very first audition song for the eighth season of American Idol was one of Queen’s greatest songs Bohemian Rhapsody.
Amazingly, this won’t be the first time Lambert will be performing alongside Queen, having sung We Are the Champions with band members Brian May and Roger Taylor at the Idol finale where he placed a gracious second in the competition.
